Company Description Summit Rheumatology is a multi-state rheumatology practice dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals and families affected by rheumatic diseases. Role Description The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at Summit Rheumatology will deliver comprehensive rheumatology care in an on-site, full-time role located in Casa Grande, AZ. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing patient assessments, obtaining detailed medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. The APP will manage follow-up visits, monitor disease progression, adjust medications, and provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and self-management strategies. Additional duties include coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, documenting clinical encounters clearly and accurately, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives that support patient safety and optimal outcomes. Qualifications Clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care to manage complex rheumatologic conditions and comorbidities. Foundational knowledge or experience in Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine to recognize and respond to urgent or emergent complications. Licensure and training as Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants, with appropriate state credentials to practice in Arizona. Board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Rheumatology-focused APP practice). Strong skills in patient communication, education, and shared decision-making, with a commitment to compassionate, non-discriminatory care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
