Title: Vice President of Accounting Location: South Boston (hybrid) Salary: $170,000–$185,000 base Why The Vice President of Accounting Opportunity Stands Out: Our client is a rapidly growing real estate management firm This role is #2 to the CFO, offering high visibility and meaningful ownership across the accounting function The company has an active deal pipeline with the potential for the portfolio to double in size Leadership is fully aligned on upgrading and modernizing the accounting and finance infrastructure Opportunity to step into a leadership gap and build out the accounting organization during scale Hands‑on role with strategic influence across financial and investor reporting Hybrid environment (3 days onsite in South Boston) with free parking and T stop access Collaborative leadership team that values in‑office partnership and execution Key Responsibilities for the Vice President of Accounting: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team across a multi‑state affordable housing portfolio Oversee all aspects of accounting and compliance Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Manage and elevate financial and investor reporting, partnering closely with the CFO Drive process improvement, controls, and scalable accounting practices Qualifications for the Vice President of Accounting: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 10+ years of real estate accounting experience; affordable housing / HUD / Section 8 experience strongly preferred Proven team leadership experience CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Creative Financial Staffing, LLC
