Field Applications Specialist - West Region

Waters seeks a Field Applications Specialist for the West Region to support customer onboarding, technical training, and product adoption across analytical instrumentation. The role combines scientific expertise with customer engagement to optimize workflows, drive utilization, and ensure long-term value realization in regulated laboratory environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer onboarding and deliver tailored, application-focused training programs
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for instruments and workflows
- Optimize customer workflows and drive product adoption through proactive engagement
- Identify expansion opportunities and partner with sales teams on account growth
- Collaborate with commercial, service, and marketing teams on customer success initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field
- Hands-on experience with flow cytometry applications and cell sorting
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across complex analytical workflows
- Ability to translate scientific concepts into practical applications
- Excellent training, communication, and presentation skills
- Valid driver's license with minimum 3 years driving history
- Willingness to travel extensively (60–70%) including overnight travel
