With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500+ product families, Vybond serves 1,500+ customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries.Job Summary:As a Purchasing Agent at Vybond, you will oversee purchasing activities for direct or indirect materials and services, typically supporting several manufacturing sites. You will drive cost efficiency, maintain quality standards, and ensure timely delivery to meet operational needs.Key Responsibilities:Inventory & PlanningAnalyze demand and historical usage to determine optimal stocking levels, order quantities, and delivery schedules for assigned materialsEnsure inventory targets and performance metrics are consistently metProcurement ExecutionPrepare and issue purchase orders in compliance with pricing, delivery schedules, and contract termsMonitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to supply, pricing, quality, and deliverySupplier & Stakeholder Collaboration:Act as the primary liaison between site personnel and suppliersPartner with internal teams to identify and qualify appropriate materials and servicesCollaborate with sites to reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventoryContinuous Improvement & Cost Optimization:Identify and implement cost savings programs both independently and as part of a teamWork with suppliers to implement programs that optimize inventoryIdentify and execute process improvement initiatives and share best practices across the procurement teamCompliance & Best Practices:Ensure adherence to Vybond procurement standards and best practicesMaintain accurate records, files, and systems for purchasing activitiesAdditional Duties:Provide backup support for other purchasing agents as neededParticipate in special projects and departmental initiativesSubmit and track quality or service complaints to suppliers, ensuring timely resolutionAssociate degree in a business-related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferredPrior experience in procurement or supply chain strongly preferredStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsSolid understanding of procurement processes and inventory controlProficient in using procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel)Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr VYBOND SPECIALTY ADHESIVES LLC
