Snowflake Engineer (Cortex & Data Engineering)

Salary: $98,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We require the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust, with approved adjudication before onboarding; active Public Trust or suitability is preferred.
• We require a bachelors degree.
• We require at least 5 years of data engineering experience, including 2 years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
• We need strong SQL development skills, including building and tuning complex queries over large datasets.
• We expect experience creating and supporting stored procedures, UDFs, views, and data transformation logic.
• We need a deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, clustering, caching, and performance tuning.
• We require practical experience with Snowflake-native features such as Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and CDC patterns.
• We need experience administering secure, scalable Snowflake environments with RBAC, access controls, and governance frameworks.
• We require experience building enterprise ELT/ETL frameworks and data pipelines.
• We need experience with data quality, reconciliation, monitoring, and operational support processes.
• We value knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• We require experience with CI/CD, Git-based source control, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment practices.
• We value familiarity with production support, observability, incident management, and operational readiness best practices.
• Nice to have: hands-on Snowflake Cortex experience and AI-powered data solutions.
• Nice to have: experience with Cortex AI functions, semantic search, intelligent data applications, and AI-driven analytics.
• Nice to have: Snowpark (Python) experience for advanced data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
• Nice to have: understanding of RAG, vector search, LLM-powered applications, and generative AI use cases in Snowflake.

• We design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data solutions that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• We build scalable batch and near real-time ingestion and processing pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and Snowpark.
• We develop and maintain advanced SQL-based solutions, including complex stored procedures, UDFs, views, and reusable transformation frameworks.
• We create and implement enterprise-grade ELT/ETL pipelines and metadata-driven automation frameworks.
• We improve Snowflake performance, scalability, reliability, and cost through query tuning, workload optimization, and platform best practices.
• We implement secure, governed data solutions using Snowflake native capabilities, including RBAC, data sharing, and governance controls.
• We design and support enterprise data warehouse, data mart, and lakehouse architectures.
• We integrate data from cloud, on-premises, API, and SaaS sources.
• We collaborate with architects, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products and solutions.
• We provide production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and ongoing platform improvements.
• We support AI and advanced analytics initiatives using Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, and related Snowflake capabilities.
