Agriculture Specialist

Overview The Pictsweet Company is looking for an experienced Agriculture Specialist for our farms in the Dyersburg, TN area. The Ag Specialist will support and assist the farm team to grow and harvest our grown in the USA vegetables. Responsibilities Inspects all crops and makes pesticide recommendations. Maintains all RUP, WPS, and SDS records. Researches all available pesticides and new pesticides. Supervises soil sampling and makes fertilizer recommendations. Sup­vises field research regarding­ new products and practices. Maintains thorough production records. Assists Farm Management in all other day-to-day operations. Responsible for following all applicable safety standards. Oversees the handling of safety data sheets. Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulations relating to food safety and personnel safety such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, and TOSHA. Complies with all other regulations and laws affecting the company (business law, trade secrets, personnel practices, etc.). Follows all Company policies and procedures regarding SOPs, Employee Handbook, Food Quality Policies, GMP Handbook, and HACCP. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Experience: Previous experience in crop production is preferred. Must have or obtain Certified Crop Advisor License within 2 years. Special Skills: Must be able to work long hours in a physically demanding environment. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
