Bioinformatics Scientist

To support the development of regulated diagnostics products, the full-time remote Bioinformatics Scientist will lead bioinformatics design and validation efforts, apply advanced knowledge in genomics, and drive study design and analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Lead bioinformatics design, development, and validation efforts for new and existing assays, coordinating project timelines and budgets Develop statistical and machine learning techniques to evaluate assay performance and create optimization strategies Ensure compliance with regulatory standards throughout the bioinformatics development lifecycle, contributing to regulatory submissions and audits Required qualifications PhD or MS in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field A minimum of 6-7 years of experience in bioinformatics analysis and algorithm development Thorough understanding of NGS technologies and library preparation methods Proficiency in machine learning and bioinformatics workflow development in AWS Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with testing frameworks and SDLC best practices
