Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide critical coverage and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. This contract role offers a schedule of 32-40 hours per week with a preference for consistent weekday coverage including Thursdays and Fridays, and alternating Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions, including reviewing technician-prepared products prior to release
• Maintain pharmacy security and control of all substances, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Enter orders and patient data with precision, utilizing the PioneerRx order entry system (experience preferred)
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to deliver excellent service and maintain operational efficiency

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Indiana pharmacist license required
• Proven retail pharmacy experience, ensuring solid knowledge of common workflows and practices
• Familiarity with PioneerRx or ability to quickly adapt to pharmacy order entry systems
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and dedication to patient safety

Location:

• Knox, Indiana area (with assignment at a nearby community hospital pharmacy in Winamac, Indiana)

Schedule/Hours:

• 4-5 days per week (32-40 hours)
• Weekdays 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., ideally including Thursdays and Fridays
• Every other Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
