ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
This is a permanent direct hire opportunity for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse. The ICU RN provides specialized nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients requiring advanced monitoring, life-support equipment, and complex medical interventions. ICU RNs work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including vital signs, neurological status, cardiac rhythms, and response to treatment.
Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and critical care treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and dialysis machines.
Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, emergencies, and code situations.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for critically ill patients.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and post-discharge care.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards, patient safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and hospital policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and competency training.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required/preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Critical care or ICU nursing experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Knowledge of critical care medications, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency interventions.
