This position operates at a regional level, supporting multiple branches and high-profile projects, including data centers and complex commercial installations.Unlike a traditional branch-based role, this position requires flexibility and mobility, with assignments across Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Washington, and Nevada based on project demand.Travel: 75% plus (Project-Based)Key ResponsibilitiesInitiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize building automation systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control (DDC) technologyLead field execution on complex and high-visibility projects, including commissioning and startup activitiesServe as the technical expert in the field, resolving complex system issues and driving solutionsEnsure proper operation of controls systems, including controllers, sensors, and software platformsLoad and commission software, configure alarms, trends, and system graphicsProvide on-site leadership during critical phases such as first-of-kind startups, integration, and customer demonstrationsMentor and train less experienced Field Control Engineers, helping elevate overall team capabilityAct as a key point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal teamsDocument system performance, commissioning activities, and project statusBasic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED5+ years of experience in Building Automation or HVAC controlsValid driver's license and be insurable by the company's insurance carrier.Ability to travel 75% of the time in the Western Region of the USA.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of DDC systems, controls hardware, and integrationExperience with ALC platforms (WebCTRL preferred)Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues independentlyExperience supporting data center or mission-critical environmentsStrong understanding of commissioning processes (L3–L5 preferred)Leadership, coaching and mentoring field teamsAbility to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawingsAdditional informationMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.No visa sponsoring available.Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
