Registered Nurse - Operating Room

The competent Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) setting practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The RN provides routine and complex care, continuously developing the ability to cope with and manage clinical contingencies. This position involves making appropriate assignments, delegating tasks to other care providers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive care to assigned patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to their level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Active RN license in the state of employment or compact.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with the following shifts available:

• 0630-1500 | Monday - Friday (2 positions)
• 1100-1930 | Monday - Friday (1 position)
• 1400-2230 | Monday - Friday (1 position)
