Autonomous Vehicle Operator

Location: San Francisco, CA

Pay: $24-$30 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time

W2 Contract Position

This Is NOT a Traditional Driving Job

We are seeking safety-focused, tech-savvy professionals to support the testing and development of autonomous vehicle technology.

This role combines defensive driving, technology, data collection, and real-time problem solving. Operators work directly with advanced vehicle systems and provide critical feedback that helps improve vehicle performance and safety.

What You'll Do

Drive company vehicles during real-world testing operations

Monitor vehicle systems and software during testing

Execute structured driving scenarios and test procedures

Observe and document vehicle behavior

Provide detailed written and verbal feedback

Perform vehicle inspections before and after testing

Ensure sensors, cameras, and equipment are clean and operational

Work closely with engineering and operations teams

Follow strict safety procedures and testing protocols

Requirements

• Valid U.S. Driver's License held for at least 5 years
• Clean driving record with no more than 1 violation point
• Strong driving history with no major violations
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using software, mobile apps, and digital tools
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
• Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

• Autonomous vehicle experience
• Vehicle testing experience
• Fleet operations experience

Military experience

• Technical troubleshooting experience
• Experience with data collection or structured testing
• Experience in transportation, logistics, delivery, rideshare, or vehicle operations

Compensation is based on experience:

• Level I: $24-$26/hour
• Level II: $26-$28/hour
• Level III: $28-$30/hour

Schedule

Training Schedule:
Monday-Friday
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Regular Schedule:
AM Shift : 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

OR

PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Candidates must be flexible to work either shift.
