The Warehouse Manager will manage all aspects of the corporate warehouse location and fleet activities. This includes all receiving, shipping, storage, procurement, warehouse layout planning, and fleet/facility maintenance. Daily coordination with project management teams to fulfill construction resource needs. Location & Travel Details: This is an onsite position, based at our new Warehouse location in the Lubbock, TX area with occasional travel to the main office in Denver, CO or other sites. Travel is less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• To plan, organize and oversee warehouse operations.
• Procure and maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment fleets.
• Maintain accurate digital inventory control.
• To maximize utilization of owned assets and supplies.
• Maintain physical security of stored materials.
• Shipment of project tools and equipment to project sites.
• Logistics coordination and tracking or oversight if delegated.
• Implement cost reduction principles in all aspects of warehouse activities, vehicle fleet, and company assets.
• Proactively brief team leaders on a monthly basis of needs and concerns
• Maintain department budget and assist with yearly cost projections.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local and national vendors.
• Safety
• Hold valid first aid and supervisor training certificates.
• Knowledge of safety solutions and PPE for construction trades.
• Review and approve JSAs for assigned warehouse and staff.
• Conduct and record regular safety inspections on equipment.
• Promptly and accurately complete investigations and reports on all near misses and all personal injury or property damage accidents.
• Set a personal example of safe behavior.
• SUPERVISORY
• Manage, lead direct reports, and mentor.
• This position could manage the Warehouse Coordinator position and at times additional staff for specific temporary projects.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial construction or warehouse operations and 2 years of experience managing equipment and vehicle fleets.
• General understanding of most tools and equipment used on construction projects.
• Experience with asset management and tracking software is preferred.
• Must be forklift certified or willing to test.
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
• When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
• Set a personal example of safe behavior.
• Extensive knowledge of construction tools, materials and equipment.
• Experience with the following crafts: piping, steel erection, carpentry, millwrights, electrical and concrete.
• Experience shipping materials via ground, air and barge.

• Maintain in-depth relations with all members of their team and your supervisor.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
• May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.
• Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.
• Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions.
• This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
• Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
• May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights.
• Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings.
• Keep good balance and work at heights.
