Maintenance Technician I

Position maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of all Manufacturing, Operations and R & D automated equipment. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, gauges and other equipment as needed. Ensure operation of robotic and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications: troubleshooting malfunctions. Removal and replacement of defective parts by dismantling and re-assembly. Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts: using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level: anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipts. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Aid and assist with fabrication of prototypes. Maintain accurate electronic maintenance documentation to meet ISO Standard.

Use of hand tools, power tools, drill press, mill, table saw, voltage tester, gauges, measuring devices, grease and caulk gun, pallet jack, computers, and scales. Experience with robotic and packaging equipment preferred. Mechanically inclined. Ability to operate a variety of equipment. High School diploma or GED. Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Availability for overtime and weekend work when needed. Build quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements. Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function). Must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function). Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval. Adopt the "Beyond Compliance Quality Culture" in the work environment; always meet and exceed requirements. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. independently, and over 50 lbs. with assisted lift. (not having any weight restrictions) Safe handling of chemicals, including potential spills. Able to sit or stand for longer periods of time. Able to work in hot or cold environment depending on season and equipment location.

Monday-Friday, primarily 8:30am-5:00pm, with flexibility to cover 2nd shift in emergency repair situations $18.00 to $26.00/hour
