Salon Leader / Licensed Stylist – Future Ownership Path Possible

Are you a licensed stylist who loves doing hair but also knows you are capable of more?

FS Cut & Color is looking for a salon leader who wants to grow beyond the chair. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys serving guests, coaching other stylists, solving problems, and helping build a strong salon culture.

For the right person, this position may offer a future path toward expanded leadership, profit-sharing, or possible ownership opportunities.

About This Position

This is a hands-on leadership role for a licensed cosmetologist who wants to stay active behind the chair while helping guide the team and support salon operations.

You will provide hair services, help create a great guest experience, support team development, and work closely with ownership to improve salon performance. We are looking for someone who is dependable, positive, coachable, and ready to help lead with both skill and professionalism.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Performing haircuts, color, styling, and finishing services
• Creating a welcoming, professional experience for every guest
• Leading by example in attitude, appearance, communication, and service quality
• Supporting stylists with guest consultations, service standards, productivity, and retail
• Helping train new team members on salon expectations and guest experience
• Coaching the team toward consistency, professionalism, and growth
• Assisting with hiring, onboarding, and staff development
• Helping manage salon flow, cleanliness, scheduling needs, and daily operations
• Supporting goals for guest count, service revenue, average ticket, retail sales, and retention
• Helping maintain inventory, back bar, retail products, and sanitation standards
• Participating in local marketing, social media, community outreach, and business partnerships
• Communicating openly with ownership about wins, challenges, team needs, and opportunities

What We’re Looking For

• Current Texas cosmetology license
• Experience behind the chair
• Salon leadership or management experience
• Strong haircutting, color, styling, and consultation skills
• A guest-first mindset
• Professional communication skills
• Positive energy and a team-focused attitude
• Ability to coach others while also receiving coaching
• Confidence addressing guest concerns with care and professionalism
• Strong initiative and problem-solving ability
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
• Knowledge of salon operations, product sales, and TDLR sanitation standards preferred

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting approximately 10 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods while performing salon services.
