Senior Network Engineer

Robert Half is partnering with an LA based company that is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer. The position is direct hire, with full benefits, with 5 days onsite. The ideal candidate will be proficient in firewalls, routing and switching, wireless technologies, and network management software. This role requires a deep understanding of networking principles, Palo Alto firewalls, SD- WAN and approach to managing and optimizing a muti-site network infrastructure. This position is full time with full benefits and 100% onsite in Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementation, administration and management of Palo Alto firewalls.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Cisco routing and switches.
• Wireless Networking and Load Balancing.
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation and operational procedures.
• Build and maintain automation tools for Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Juniper, and cloud networking platforms utilizing APIs, Python, Ansible, Git, and automation platforms.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with VLAN configuration and management.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure.
• Experience with Palo Alto Panorama, Palo Alto Prisma, and SD- WAN.
• Solid understanding of BGP networking protocols and routing principles.
• Network Automation experience with Python or Ansible.
• Deep knowledge and experience in Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with network management software.
