GI RN Manager

OR/GI Manager (RN) The Surgery Center of Ft. Lauderdale is now seeking an OR/GI Manager, full time. This role establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees and vendors, coordinates special equipment and supplies, identifies and remedies issues through continuous customer satisfaction data, and oversees surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services. The manager may also serve as RN Circulator as necessary. Responsibilities Serve as a clinical resource for perioperative services staff using evidence‑based knowledge and prevailing standards. Evaluate current practice through quality and performance improvement measures. Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and other stakeholders. Coordinate, facilitate, and manage change within the health care organization. Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care. Use effective conflict resolution techniques. Operationally and fiscally manage the perioperative services department. Collect and analyze data that applies to perioperative services to facilitate collaboration and negotiation with stakeholders. Participate in interviews for staff selection. Evaluate staff member performance. Serve as a role model of professional behavior. Assess the political climate within the organization. Ensure that the appropriate personnel, equipment, and supplies are available. Pursue professional growth and participate in a professional organization. Qualifications Associate’s degree in nursing from an approved nursing school required; BSN preferred. Five (5) years of nursing experience. Three (3) years of operating room experience preferred. ASC / HOPD management experience preferred. Current OR RN license. Current certification in BLS, ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire. What We Offer Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage.
