Experienced Clinical Nurse - Main Operating Room - Evening Shift Summary: The primary purpose of the Clinical Nurse in the Main Operating Room is to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures, while supporting the surgical team and maintaining a sterile environment. The Clinical Nurse in the Operating Room must have a minimum of one year of operating room nursing experience. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of recent experience supporting Head & Neck and robotic surgical procedures. Schedule Evening Shift: Includes two 12hr shifts and two 8hr shifts with days off TBD based on institutional needs. Orientation: The first 4-6 months will include Operating Room Orientation from Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Hourly Breakdown of Salary Range Minimum $32.69 - Midpoint $50.48 - Maximum $68.26 PLUS - Nurses will earn up to $7,280 in annual department-based differentials. Education Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree Nursing. Work Experience Preferred: At least one year of Operating Room registered nursing experience Licenses and Certifications Required: RN – Registered Nurse – State Licensure Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license. Required: ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required: PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (if working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Preferred: OCN – Oncology Nurse Certification Preferred: Certification in specialty practice area. Other Requirements All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program. This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, and therefore may require routine reviews and screening.
