About the Position

Pediatric Anesthesiology locums coverage in California with an ongoing need and a minimum commitment of 1 week per month. Inpatient pediatric case mix includes neonatal through adolescent cases, with openness to all shifts, including potential call.

Practice Setting

• Inpatient pediatric anesthesiology, neonatal to 18 years
• Solo MD model, currently 1 APP with a 2nd being recruited
• Typical volume: 3 to 6 cases per 10-hour shift, varies with neonatal and neurosurgical complexity
• Short-staffed coverage needed

Schedule

• Weekday schedule, Monday through Thursday and Friday coverage
• Ongoing weeks available, starting as soon as credentialed
• Must be open to all shifts, including weekends and call; client not interested in restrictions
• Call may be in-house after hours or off-site beeper call; may not be needed
• Must be willing to work overtime if needed

Cases and Procedures

• Neonatal, infant, and adolescent cases
• Neurosurgery and neonatal surgery
• GI cases

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board certified in Anesthesiology
• California license; will wait for license
• ACLS, BLS, DEA, Fluoro, NRP, TEE, NALS
