Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference each day by providing speech-language services to students from PreK through 8th grade in a supportive environment near Kenner, LA. This contract position runs approximately from August 4th to June 24th, 2027 and offers the rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse student population, helping them achieve communication milestones and academic success.

What we’re seeking:

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology licensure
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based speech-language pathology
  • Background in pediatric speech therapy preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Comfortable providing both direct and consultative services across PreK-8th grades
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualized and group therapy in line with IEP goals
  • Conducting assessments, writing reports, and participating in eligibility meetings
  • Developing effective treatment plans to target language, articulation, fluency, and voice disorders
  • Communicating regularly with staff and families regarding student progress
  • Maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with school and state requirements
  • Participating in professional development and interdisciplinary team meetings
