Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Lafayette, IN. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for patients with breathing disorders across ICU, Med Surg, ER, and Level 3 NICU settings. The unit is a recently built facility with a cohesive, experienced team and progressive physician support.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
• Experience: Minimum one year as an RRT with acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU.
• Demonstrated NICU Level 3 skills sufficient to function competently in a Level 3 NICU.
• Clinical skills managing ventilators, BiPAP, heated high flow (HHFNC), assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies, and proficient EMR charting (Epic).
• Ability to work effectively in higher acuity and high-volume situations and to function independently as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific ventilator models and equipment such as Drager V500, Hamilton transport ventilators, PB vents, V60 BiPAP, Aerogen nebulizers, oscillators, jet ventilators, nitric delivery, and bubble CPAP.
• Prior experience in a facility using Epic EMR.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 06:00–18:30.
• Schedule: 36-hour workweek.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
• No routine on-call requirements.
