Village Tavern has  IMMEDIATE OPENINGS  for our SERVICE TEAM!

Candidates must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods, in a fast-paced environment. Restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train someone with a great attitude and willingness to work hard.

SERVER

Servers are responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest, with friendly and responsive service.

SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcomes customers when they arrive at a restaurant.
• Introduces customers to the menu and announces daily or seasonal menu specials.
• Answers questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing
• Takes customers' orders for food and drink by writing them on a ticket, and entering them into POSI.
• Communicates customer’s special requests to Expo/MOD
• Prepares non-alcoholic drinks and serves them to customers.
• Side-work (Opening, Running and Closing)
• Team Service
• Ensures that customers are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses if necessary.
• Removes used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables.
• Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information.
• Communicate guest requests or complaints.
• Answer, report, and follow MOD instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Arrive on time and in clean, pressed uniform with a positive attitude ready to work.
• Complete tasks assigned by MOD in a timely manner.

SERVER QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 1-3 years’ experience as a server is preferred.
• Wine knowledge and cocktail knowledge is preferred, but willing to teach.
• POS experience is preferred, but willing to teach.

This is an hourly position, with part-time and full-time positions available.
