Overview
We are seeking aRadiologic Technologist I,internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I . The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.
Shift Available: Days(Mon thru Fri)
Employment Type:Full-Time(No Weekends)
Hours:8-hour shift – 8:30am to 5:00pm
Location:Saint John Hospital – Leavenworth, KS

Responsibilities
** To move forward in this position, you must have your ARRT-R or getting your ARRT-R within 90 days. If you have experience in CT you are encouraged to apply!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols
Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
Registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State of Kansas RT licensure, or temporary permit issued by KS State Board of Healing Arts upon hire
ARRT-R is required
Current BCLS (AHA)
Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
Proficient computer skills
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
