Assistant Professor of Education – Graduate Education (Instructional Practice) The instructional faculty member is responsible for teaching, chairing dissertations, engaging in research/creative achievement, and fulfilling service functions that contribute to the mission of the University, the School, and the Department. Responsibilities Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to faculty, staff, students, and community. Maintain effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students. Participate on university committees. Ensure proper security of University files and information and comply with privacy procedures. Maintain records and procedures related to duties. Complete required institutional and program accreditation reports. Undertake the standard instructional/research/service workload outlined in Faculty/Staff Policy Manual. Provide classroom conduct and course management as outlined in policy manual. Provide academic advisement of students. Conduct office and conference hours. Fulfill University scholarship expectations through research, publication, grant development, and creative achievement. Provide committee service. Attend department, school, and university faculty meetings. Participate in community and public service opportunities. Attend commencement activities. Participate in annual faculty evaluation. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Doctoral degree in Adult Learning, Curriculum and Instruction or a related field with a dissertation as the culminating product. Evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience. Experience serving on dissertation committees or chairing dissertations.
