Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our facility, which is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technologies designed for effective patient treatment. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Endurance Solutions, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical limitations, mobility challenges, and functional abilities to create personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Implementing targeted exercises and therapeutic interventions designed to enhance strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, and endurance in patients.
• Guiding patients through the process of relearning how to walk safely and efficiently after experiencing injuries or extended periods of immobility.
• Introducing and executing strategies aimed at reducing fall risks, along with educating patients and their caregivers on effective fall prevention techniques.
• Overseeing pulmonary rehabilitation initiatives for patients with lung conditions, enriching their breathing and exercise capacities.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare specialists, including nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure holistic and cohesive patient care.
• Assisting residents in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), ensuring a higher quality of life.
• Incorporating cognitive rehabilitation strategies as needed to bolster residents' mental functions and overall recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, serious injuries, chronic conditions, and pulmonary issues. We focus not only on physical recovery but also on teaching our patients the skills and techniques necessary for independent living.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New York.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient abilities to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs.
• Demonstrated passion for helping patients achieve meaningful recovery and regain their quality of life.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Preferred Experience

While clinical experience within a skilled nursing facility is preferred, it is not required. We value candidates who bring a strong foundation in physical therapy practices and a desire to continuously learn and grow in a rehabilitative setting.

Compensation and Benefits
