The Hospital

The Role

• Provide medical leadership, set clinical standards, and guide best practices across the hospital
• Lead, mentor, and develop veterinarians and support staff to foster a learning-focused, collaborative culture
• Balance clinical caseload with administrative responsibilities, including case review and protocol development
• Deliver high-quality primary care, dentistry, and routine soft-tissue surgery
• Utilize in-house diagnostics and imaging to drive efficient, informed case management
• Champion clear client communication, preventive care, and continuity through wellness plans and digital tools
• Typical schedule includes weekday daytime hours with shorter Saturday hours; closed Sunday

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
• Active Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• DEA license or eligibility
• Proven experience in small-animal general practice; prior leadership or mentorship experience preferred
• Proficiency with routine surgery and dentistry, plus familiarity with in-house diagnostics
• Strong communication, collaboration, and client-service skills
