About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Women's Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Must have an active RN license Certifications: Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications Must-Have: - 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience - Experience in taking care of OB/GYN patients, Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum care Description: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions appropriately to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and providing spiritual/psychosocial support as needed. Evaluates the learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Circulates during C-sections and attends deliveries, assisting the physician as needed. Follows policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients. Assesses neonates completely after delivery in the C-section suite. Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years. Identifies necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients. Candidate may be required to assist in other units depending on facility census, serving as helping hands or sitters.
