Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Rapid Response)

Location

Kingwood, TX | Acute Care – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 6-Week Assignment | Expected 48 hours/week | 4 weekend shifts per month | No on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio on the night shift
• Perform IV starts, blood draws, EKGs, and patient resuscitation as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, technicians, and unit secretarial staff
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Adhere to all unit guidelines, dress code (royal blue scrubs), and scheduling requirements — no RTO or special scheduling requests will be accommodated

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
• Acute Emergency Room experience required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required — must be included in submission packet
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required — must be included in submission packet
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required — must be included in submission packet
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required — must be included in submission packet
• Ability to start within 5–7 days of offer acceptance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma experience strongly preferred — candidates with this background will be considered first
• Active, personable demeanor well-suited to a fast-paced emergency environment
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
