Job Summary:
The Staff RN in Medical Surgical oversees patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring treatment plans are effectively implemented and monitored. The role involves supervising nursing staff, assessing patient needs, and delivering quality care aligned with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients using the Nursing Process and document findings accurately.
• Develop individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Implement and update patient care plans, evaluating responses to treatments.
• Supervise and delegate specific tasks related to patient care to nursing staff.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Michigan/MI RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Med Surg observation and nursing skills.
• Complete current Skills Checklist pertinent to Med Surg within the last year.
• Provide two supervisory reference forms completed in the past two years.
• Maintain an active American Heart Association BLS certification.
