Technical Program ManagerThe fab2 team can build anything. We design all the hardware and software needed to make chips and we make the fabs, tools, and components ourselves. We're looking for exceptional, hands-on people who can iterate to the limits of what's possible.fab2 was founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller. Sam is best known for making chips in his garage, and Jim has been a leader in the semiconductor industry for the past 40 years.fab2 is hiring a Technical Program Manager to accelerate development of our semiconductor fab. You'll translate top-level company goals into technical programs and drive execution from concept through integration. You'll report to our CEO, Sam Zeloof, and build out the system that coordinates Atomic Semi's mechanical, electrical, software, and production teams.Responsibilities:Manage the development of fab tools and components from requirements definition to production release.Drive cross-functional execution across mechanical, electrical, embedded/software, and production to hit spec and schedule.Maintain the critical path, surface technical risks early, and define mitigations and alternate routes to keep projects moving.Communicate status, decisions, and risks proactively across teams and up to leadership.Build lightweight project management systems for planning, communication, and visibility.Required Experience:5+ years of experience managing complex hardware projects.Demonstrated ability deliver on tight engineering timelines and manage trade-offs to deliver new products; excellent judgement.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience with a project management software, isn't too tied to a particular one.Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.Nice-to-have:Having performed some type of hardware engineering, such as mechanical or electrical.Familiarity or interest in semiconductor technologies and semiconductor specific techniques/tools.Experience leading NPI programs and successfully transitioning products from engineering/R&D builds through production ramp in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.We're an early-stage hardware startup with solid funding, world-class advisors, and a lab/offices in Austin, TX, Lockhart, TX and San Francisco, CA.Benefits: fab2 offers the following benefits, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceGenerous Paid Time Off inclusive of Holidays and Sick TimeVisa SponsorshipLife and Disability InsurancePaid Parental Leave401(k) retirement planWeekly Learning & Development opportunitiesCommuter Benefits including Parking and Late Night Uber rides from the officeLunches daily, Dinners 3x per week, Stocked Office Kitchen with Snacks and SpindriftsWe are an equal-opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability or other legally protected statuses.Export Control Analysis: This position involves access to technology that is subject to U.S. export controls.
