Make a difference in the lives of students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a dynamic and supportive environment. This full-time contract opportunity supports multiple campuses as an itinerant OT, helping a diverse range of learners reach their fullest potential. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and support professionals, providing vital therapy services and promoting student independence in the educational setting.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active North Carolina Occupational Therapy license (please provide documentation)
- Experience delivering OT services in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System) required
- Strong communication and organization skills when working across multiple school sites
- Enthusiasm for working with children of all ages in an educational environment
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing assignments, and manage a full caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy to students across selected schools, supporting IEP goals and student needs
- Travel between assigned campuses to provide on-site therapy (mileage within assignment included)
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district regulations
