Senior Construction Manager

My client is a leading AI infrastructure and cloud services provider, delivering large-scale GPU clusters for AI training and inference. Their vertically integrated platform includes grid-connected land and data centre assets across renewable-energy-rich regions in North America. They are seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data centre developments operating under an owner-operator-GC model. This role is responsible for construction strategy, field execution, contractor performance, and ensuring safe, predictable, and high-quality delivery across complex, multi-phase projects. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations to deliver highly reliable and operationally ready facilities. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of data centre construction projects across safety, quality, schedule, cost, and scope Develop and execute construction strategies aligned to project delivery models Manage site execution across contractors and trades to maintain coordinated project delivery Oversee integrated project schedules, sequencing, milestones, and critical path activities Drive cost control, forecasting, contingency planning, and change management Manage contractor and supplier performance across EPC, lump sum, and T&M engagements Resolve execution constraints and cross-trade coordination issues Ensure compliance with EHS, QA/QC, regulatory, and internal standards Support commissioning readiness, systems testing, and operational turnover Build and lead high-performing construction teams while driving accountability through KPIs Provide structured reporting and updates to senior leadership and project stakeholders Maintain alignment across engineering, procurement, controls, commissioning, and operations teams Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience) 8+ years’ construction management experience delivering large-scale industrial or mission-critical projects Proven experience leading complex field execution across multiple contractors, trades, and concurrent workstreams Strong understanding of EPCM, design-build, and CM-at-risk delivery models Experience managing schedules, budgets, forecasting, change management, and risk mitigation Knowledge of building codes and electrical infrastructure, including MV/HV distribution systems Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced construction environment Preferred Experience Experience across multiple jurisdictions, including permitting and inspection processes Exposure to commissioning, integrated systems testing, and operational turnover Experience developing standards, playbooks, and repeatable delivery processes Professional certifications such as CCM, PMP, or equivalent Additional Requirements Ability to reliably commute to site daily or relocate prior to starting Comfortable working rotational schedules including days, nights, and weekends based on project requirements Pre-employment screening, including background checks and substance testing, may be required Must provide own steel-toed boots; additional PPE will be supplied #J-18808-Ljbffr asobbi
