Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance EngineerRyan Companies is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to execute preventive maintenance, demand and general repairs, and adjustments to building systems, equipment, and fixtures as required. This role serves a downtown Des Moines, IA class B office tower ensuring satisfaction for both tenants and the building owner. Participation in an on-call rotation is a requirement of this position.What You Will Do:This is a first shift position, with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional after hours and weekend work.Perform preventive maintenance duties on building equipment and systems as scheduledManage and/or assist subcontractors with preventive maintenance, repairs and projects occurring on building systems, equipment, or propertyRespond to, evaluate, and complete tenant service work orders in a timely and professional mannerWork with the Property Manager and Chief Engineer to ensure proper services are provided to the building(s), and to assist with project planning and tenant improvement coordinationMaintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition daily.Monitor energy system equipment, adjust set-points as needed, and record actions and time associated dailyEnsure Fire/Life/Safety equipment is performing as designedParticipate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend work when necessaryComplete all Ryan Companies required training and safety programsProvide exceptional customer service and exceed expectationsLead by example in alignment with the Ryan values with staff and co-workersPossess a proactive and collaborative, solution-oriented approachIs self-motivated and works well in a team environment.
