The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting both the front and back office, including greeting and rooming patients, scheduling, answering phones, taking vitals, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support wherever needed. Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the center's staff is a key ingredient to success in this position.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience (in addition to an externship)
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required
- Attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with patients and strong computer skills required
- You should want to work in an environment where health education and outreach is important to you and challenges you to make a difference

If the candidate does not hold either, they can start pending with approval from Marathon
- Ages of children seen: 2+
- Building specific information (parking, entrance location, building location, etc): It's a nearsite clinic, so special access required
- Security requirements: No security requirements
- Fee Collection: Yes, but fees are TBD
- Onsite Dispensing: Not at this time
- Home Med participation? Not at this time
- Any other skills/licensures/requirements: W/C, Occ health background and PC
- Occupational health? Yes
- Workers Comp? Yes
- Is women's health required for temp/locum coverage? Not necessarily but a plus
- Health center staffing model: 1:1 the first 10 days, then a receptionist added on

- Is your candidate experienced with EKG testing (preferred)
- Does your candidate have experience with Point of Care Testing within the past 6 months?
- Does your candidate have Athena-EMR experience?
