Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant, supporting K-12 students across multiple sites in the Portales, NM area. This full-time itinerant assignment offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise can make a significant impact on student outcomes.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant
• Experience providing services in educational settings, preferably with K-12 populations
• Strong understanding of direct therapy, assessments, and case management (PTs)
• Commitment to delivering high-quality support across diverse student needs
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Flexible mindset, capable of traveling between school locations as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP and district requirements
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to develop and adjust therapy plans (PTs)
• Manage a diverse caseload, documenting progress and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (PTs)
• Provide direct, evidence-based therapy services to students (PTA)
• Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support student mobility, participation, and safety
• Support compliance with special education standards and documentation protocols
