Registered Nurse - ICU

Role Overview: The Community RN provides independent, direct nursing care in a complex ICU setting, supporting critically ill patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses. Responsibilities: Conducts clinical assessments, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, delegates tasks appropriately, and manages patient care based on professional judgment. Facilitates patient and family education, supports discharge planning, and participates in performance improvement initiatives. Contributes to team development through precepting and ongoing professional growth. Qualifications: Requires Massachusetts RN licensure, current BLS certification, and relevant department-specific certifications. Experience varies by level, with a preference for a BSN. Skills & Abilities: Effective communication, application of the nursing process, clinical judgment, and manual dexterity. Work Environment: Includes physical demands such as lifting, prolonged standing, and exposure to infectious and hazardous materials.
