Quality Engineering Supervisor

Quality Engineering SupervisorSchneider Electric has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineering Supervisor position at our North Haven, CT facility. In this role, the individual will be responsible for leading all onsite quality activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with quality systems and standards, and supervising Quality Technicians. This position serves as the primary quality leader for the site, partnering closely with operations and cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reduce defects, and support manufacturing excellence.What will you do?Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Quality TechniciansServe as the primary onsite quality leader and subject matter expertMonitor, analyze, and report key quality metrics for product linesManage quality-related production line disruptions, customer concerns, and escalation activitiesLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for product and process defects, including customer complaintsLead PFMEA activities and ensure Process Control Plans are implemented and maintainedDrive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing 5S, SPS, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologiesLead implementation and sustainment of digital quality tools and processesPartner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to improve quality performanceMaintain and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System in accordance with ISO standardsPlan and conduct internal audits and support external customer or certification auditsProvide leadership and strategic direction for future growth of the site's quality functionWhat qualifications will make you successful?Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred5+ years of quality, manufacturing, or industrial engineering experience within a manufacturing environmentPrevious leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferredStrong knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience leading root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, and related problem-solving toolsExperience with PFMEA, Control Plans, process flow mapping, and process auditingWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systemsStrong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, statistical methods, and data analysisExcellent communication, coaching, and leadership skillsAdvanced analytical skills using Excel and other quality reporting toolsThis version positions the role as a true people leader while still maintaining the strong technical quality engineering foundation you need for a standalone QA leader at the site.
