Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients in the emergency department.Unit InformationUnit Type: Emergency RoomNumber of Beds: 11 beds, 3 triage rooms, 2 trauma bays, 4 hall bedsAverage Patients Per Day: 41Staffing Ratios: 1:4In-house Security: YesResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality patient care in the emergency department setting.Manage patient holds within the emergency department.Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for documentation and communication.Administer required treatments and medications as per protocols.Participate in departmental orientation and training programs.Qualifications2 years of recent emergency room experience required.Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS.Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients and effectively handle emergency situations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in triage is a plus.Schedule & RequirementsShift: 12-hour night shifts.Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.Weekend and holiday work is required.Staff may be required to float as needed within the department.Adherence to dress code: Navy scrubs or approved CHI branded t-shirts.Driver's license required for identification and travel purposes.Additional InformationOur emergency department is equipped to handle a wide variety of cases, including trauma, abdominal pain, pediatrics, and more. The department fosters a collaborative environment with dedicated nursing staff, physicians, and support personnel.Candidates should understand that the use of artificial nails is prohibited within the patient care departments.
