Job Title: Lathe Machinist

Job Description

This role focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining multi-axis CNC lathe machines in a precision manufacturing environment. You will perform tool changes and offsets, edit and troubleshoot CNC programs using G and M codes, and work with a variety of materials including steels, aluminum, and plastics. You will ensure the highest quality standards by inspecting your own parts using precision measurement tools and consistently meeting tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain multi-axis CNC lathe machines for production runs.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs using G and M codes to optimize performance and resolve issues.
• Work with a variety of materials including steels, aluminum, and plastics to produce precision components.
• Inspect and verify dimensions of machined parts using microscopes, micrometers, comparators, gauge pins, thread gauges, and calipers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bloomington,MN.
