Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Compensation: $30–$33 per hour

Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Schedule: Rotating

A night in the life

At 6:00 PM, you step onto a spotless, safety-focused production floor. A pump is vibrating more than usual, a press needs a PLC input checked, and preventive tasks are queued in the CMMS for the evening. You scan the work orders, prioritize, and dive in—isolating energy sources with Lockout/Tagout, diagnosing a pneumatic issue, swapping a worn bearing, and documenting each repair clearly. By midnight, you’ve helped production hit targets by resolving an unexpected electrical fault, and before dawn, you’ve completed scheduled PMs, updated parts usage, and walked the line with operators to flag potential issues before they become downtime. You wrap up with a clean workstation and a reliable plan for the next rotation.

What you’ll take on

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems to sustain uptime.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance on machines and plant infrastructure.
• Diagnose failures quickly to minimize downtime and return equipment to service safely.
• Interpret mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and OEM manuals to guide repairs.
• Open, complete, and document work orders accurately in a CMMS.
• Maintain an orderly, hazard-free work area; rigorously follow Lockout/Tagout.
• Partner with operators and fellow techs to drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
• Escalate equipment concerns and safety risks immediately.

What you bring

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong, methodical troubleshooting across multiple trades.
• Hands-on experience in at least three of the following: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding, HVAC.
• Comfort with CMMS platforms for work orders and documentation.
• Independent self-starter who also collaborates well on a team.
• Own set of basic hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
• Willing to complete required safety/equipment training, including forklift, aerial lift, and Lockout/Tagout.
