Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Neuro)

Contract | Onsite | Call shifts included (weekday and weekend)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within a high-volume OR environment handling 75–90 cases per day across 28 operating rooms
• Support neuro and craniotomy cases including spine fusions, complex deformity corrections, spine tumors, neurovascular, and neuro trauma procedures
• Participate in weekday call coverage (2 eight-hour shifts per schedule, 2330–0700) and weekend call coverage (3 twelve-hour shifts per schedule)
• Respond to call within a 45-minute response time; may be called in to support multiple trauma situations as part of the neuro/craniotomy call team
• Float to other service lines within the Tower OR as needed
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient care coordination

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room
• Strong neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy experience (e.g., simple single-level spine fusion through complex 10+ level deformity correction, craniotomies, neurovascular cases)
• Availability for holiday call coverage (1 major and 1 minor holiday per contract cycle)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RN scrubbing skills and hands-on scrub experience in the OR
• Experience with spine tumor and complex neurovascular cases
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
