Medical Records Specialist (Glendale)

Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Strong possibility of extension). Location: Glendale, AZ Onsite Position

Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete a background check.

Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.

In this role, you will register patients, collect payments, prepare and maintain the electronic medical records for the clients we serve, following HIPPA guidelines.

Experience Required

• 6 months' experience registering patients in an electronic medical records system in a healthcare setting.
• A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Experience Preferred

• Experience gathering data from patients and creating medical records
• Cashiering or cash handling experience

Education Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Education Preferred

• Certification as a Public Health or Community Health Worker from an accredited college or currently enrolled in a Public Health or Community Health Worker program and eligible to receive a certification within six (6) months of hire
