Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Profession: LPN/LVN Specialty: Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: LPN License required Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) Description:
The role involves providing care for residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility.
Main responsibilities include medication and treatment administration, monitoring vital signs, and managing respiratory treatments.
You will perform blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and IV medication administration.
Wound care, including measurement and specimen collection, falls under your duties.
You will assist with activities of daily living and complete charting and incident reports.
Regular assessment and monitoring of residents' health are essential.
You may participate in interdisciplinary team meetings when necessary.
No telemonitoring or respiratory therapy staff are present on-site.
This position requires adherence to policies regarding badge usage and conduct.
On shift, you will be part of a team that includes charge nurses and other licensed nurses.
No floating between units is expected, though staffing needs may cause assignments to change.
You are expected to maintain a professional appearance in appropriate scrubs.
Weekend and holiday shifts will be required based on the schedule.
