Senior Associate Tax Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Tax Attorney in San Diego, CA. This client-facing role involves engaging with clients from the outset, participating in meetings, and managing various tax-related matters. Participate in IRS and California audits, including income, employment, and sales tax. Handle collections work, including installment agreements and Offers in Compromise. Conduct appeals and represent clients in Tax Court. Provide tax optimization and planning for business owners and high-net-worth individuals. Develop and manage your own book of work over time. Requirements 8-15 years of legal practice experience. California bar membership is a plus; support for reciprocity available. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to instill confidence in clients. Proven track record of high performance and initiative. Ability to handle fast-paced and dynamic work environments. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Skills Excellent communication and client management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
