Job Description & Requirements

Position Summary

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care Psych / Behavioral Health
• Facility: Mercy Hospital Springfield – Psych Acute Adult A
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Required Qualifications

• Current RN License (Missouri or eligible for Missouri licensure)
• BLS Certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN experience
  • Experience must be in an inpatient psychiatric unit
  • Psych hospitals, correctional facilities, etc., are NOT accepted
• Crisis training (if applicable) must be listed on the submission form.

Preferred Qualifications

• Crisis Prevention/Intervention training
• Epic charting experience
• Team-oriented personality

Clinical Experience

Candidates should have experience with:

• Adult acute psychiatric patients
• Behavioral health assessments
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation
• Medication administration
• Psychiatric patient monitoring
• Therapeutic communication
• Care planning and documentation
