Project Manager I or II - Carolinas Dispatchable Generation West and South Zones (NC & SC)

Responsibilities Provide leadership, oversight management, delegation and coordination to the various internal and external organizations that are providing services to the project (engineering, project controls, estimating, construction management, supply chain, legal, EHS, QA/QC, operations, communications, regulatory, security, fuels, transmission, etc.). Structure, lead, and/or assist in leading all project related meetings and reports required to ensure open communication between all team members, key stakeholders, and management (monthly project reviews, kickoff meetings, etc.) and to properly report project status. Present reports to appropriate management / governance team skillfully. Plan assigned project(s) including scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality and closeout. This includes but not limited to scope definition, estimating, schedule creation and monitoring, cost control measures, procurement/contracting strategies, equipment selection, vendor selection, start-up and commissioning plans, and integration processes such as turnover to operations, and warranty management. Execute projects with a focus on Event Free and Operations Quality, according to plan within designed scope, cost and schedule limits. This position can be filled as a Project Manager I or one level higher as a Project Manager II depending on experience. Proficient to demonstrated Expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving Project related work experience; Risk Management, Project Leadership, Strong Collaboration, Oversight Utility Business Unit Experience as determined by BU ranging from Regulated or Commercial energy services experience Construction Management knowledge Proficient to Expert in project related Scheduling, Cost Controls Working Conditions Hybrid - Selected candidate will be required to be at a station or office at least three (3) days per week. Location The preferred base location for the selected candidate includes Lark Maintenance Center (Mt. Holly), Marshall (Terrell, NC), or Cliffside Coal (Mooresboro, NC). Project portfolio can include any of the South or West Zone stations including Asheville CC, Marshall Coal, W.S. Lee CC, Lincoln CT, Mill Creek CT, Clemson CHP, Smith Energy, Cliffside Coal, Sutton, and East Peakers.
