Job Location Location: Marlton - Rt 73 and Brick Road Job Type Employment Type: Employee Employment Classification: Per Diem Time Type: Part time Work Shift: 2nd Shift Total Weekly Hours: 0 Position Schedule Per Diem / Marlton Work Schedule: Position is every other weekend in Chemistry or Hematology. One summer and one winter holiday required. Summary Analyzes, interprets, and validates laboratory procedures of various complexities on biological material such as blood, body fluids, and tissues for Virtua customers. Position Responsibilities Perform moderate and high complexity testing accurately and precisely according to established procedure without direct supervision. Post analytically, validate results using established indicators, investigate deviations from the norm, recognize trends or shifts, and apply corrective action. Perform, review and document all quality control according to established policies and procedures. Perform pre‑analytical processes including patient ID, phlebotomy, specimen labeling, specimen verification, receipt and shipment. Correctly operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as required. Provide outstanding customer service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills. Position Qualifications / Experience Required Minimum of externship in a CLIA laboratory. Good interpersonal and time management skills. Required Education Minimum of bachelor’s degree in laboratory science, biology or chemistry or another relevant field. Certifications & Licensure Valid certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent or meets CLIA '88 educational requirements for moderate and high complexity testing. ASCP certification preferred. New graduate must successfully pass certification exam within 1 year of hire.
