Non-Negotiables

• You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field)
• At least seven years of quality engineering experience in automotive manufacturing is required
• Deep expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC is mandatory
• You must have worked in an IATF 16949 certified environment
• You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Proficiency with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation is essential

Responsibilities

• You will lead APQP activities for new product launches and prepare detailed PPAP submissions
• You will ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements
• Develop and validate Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Work Instructions
• Analyze process capability using Cp and Cpk data and drive improvements to meet targets
• Use root cause analysis methods like 5-Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC to resolve quality issues and reduce scrap
• Serve as the primary technical quality liaison for automotive customers, managing audits and performance reviews
• Mentor junior quality engineers and inspectors, promoting continuous improvement and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is preferred
• Proficiency with Minitab or similar statistical software gives candidates an edge
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and mold qualification is highly valued
• Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems helps integrate smoothly into the operation
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills set top applicants apart
• Hands-on experience with CMM, optical measurement systems, and gauges is a plus
• A proven history of reducing scrap and implementing cost-saving initiatives is desirable
