Medical Laboratory Technologist

Job Overview

A full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist position is available for a 13-week assignment, with an ASAP start date. The schedule consists of four 10-hour days from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with flexibility required regarding specific workdays.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Adhere to universal precautions and comply with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain dependability and responsibility, including attendance and punctuality, while following all provided instructions.
• Perform venipuncture and complete daily quality control and maintenance as per guidelines.
• Conduct testing in a timely and precise manner.
• Operate and troubleshoot various analyzers, including Chemistry, UA, Hematology, and Coagulation analyzers.
• Perform blood bank testing (type, RH, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and quality control).
• Engage in miscellaneous testing, including serological/micro testing and microscopic examinations.
• Communicate effectively, sharing important information with co-workers, supervisors, physicians, and other staff members.
• Exhibit courtesy and professionalism towards patients, laboratory staff, physicians, and other employees.
• Ensure overall quality of performance and conduct.

Qualifications

• Certification from ASCP or AMT is required at the time of submission.
• Blood bank experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Must be adaptable to facility needs and the scheduling demands of the laboratory environment.
