SAP HANA Solutions Architect [Remote]

This role offers the opportunity to design and optimize advanced SAP HANA solutions supporting enterprise analytics and mission-critical business processes.
The position focuses on developing high-performance HANA data models, improving system efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making across complex SAP landscapes.
You will work with modern SAP technologies including S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and HANA-native capabilities to deliver scalable solutions.

Accountabilities:

The SAP HANA Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing HANA-based solutions while ensuring strong performance, scalability, and alignment with business needs. This role will serve as a technical expert for HANA modeling, architecture, and performance optimization across enterprise SAP environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP HANA-native data models and analytical objects supporting S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and standalone HANA platforms.
• Translate complex business and reporting requirements into efficient, scalable, and high-performing HANA solutions.
• Develop and optimize HANA calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript-based solutions.
• Analyze and resolve complex SAP HANA performance issues through advanced troubleshooting and optimization techniques.
• Apply deep knowledge of HANA architecture, including in-memory computing, columnar storage, and parallel processing concepts.
• Use HANA performance monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify bottlenecks and improve system efficiency.
• Support HANA replication and integration solutions using technologies such as SLT, SDI, and SDA.
• Design and maintain secure HANA environments using appropriate roles, permissions, and analytic privileges.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
• Support large-scale SAP HANA migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
• Create technical documentation and provide knowledge sharing to support long-term platform stability.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring extensive SAP HANA development experience, strong architecture knowledge, and proven ability to optimize enterprise-scale SAP data environments. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and effective communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of hands-on SAP HANA development experience.
• Strong expertise with HANA-native modeling technologies, including calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript.
• Solid understanding of SAP HANA architecture, including in-memory storage, columnar processing, and parallel execution.
• Experience with SAP HANA performance tuning methodologies and diagnostic tools.
• Hands-on experience with HANA replication technologies such as SLT, SDI, and SDA.
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA security concepts, including roles and analytic privileges.
• Experience with S/4HANA embedded analytics and/or BW/4HANA modeling.
• Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred experience with SAP-certified HANA modeling or development credentials.
• Experience with HANA Native Storage Extension, dynamic tiering, HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, or SAP BTP analytics tools is a plus.
• Experience supporting large-scale HANA migrations and upgrade projects is preferred.
